Saturday, April 4, 2009 - 6:00pm Treat yourself to a night of dazzling performances, comedy, music and dance. The NC Belly Dance Community presents an evening of belly dance and belly laughs to benefit the Kornegay family during upcoming chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Belly Dance and Belly Laughs is a fundraiser to benefit the Kornegay family: Cheryl and Cutler and their two children aged 6 and 8. Cutler Kornegay is 26, has brain cancer, and will be undergoing radiation treatment for 6 1/2 weeks and chemotherapy for a year at Duke hospital. On February 1, 2009 he had brain surgery at Duke and was found to have grade three anaplastic astrocytoma. Fortunatly, Cutler's doctors believe that his condition is treatable. He has suffered some side effects that effect his daily living and is currently unable to work. Cheryl is a student and belly dancer and is dedicating her time to meeting the daily needs and care of her husband and children.
Price: $10 for adults, $5 for children, Max price for a family is $35
