Andalee's May Newsletter

New Summer Schedule Posted

A new session of belly dance classes will start in June at Ninth Street Dance. My Thursday and Sunday classes will remain the same. I am excited to announce that I will also be teaching a Mother Daughter class. Bring your daughter, niece, cousin or granddaughter to share the joy of Belly Dance! For ages 5 and up. Please visit my Web site for more info on classes.

New Web Site Address

The results of my Web site domain contest are final! The new Web site is AndaleeDance.com. That URL won the poll by one vote! Right now it looks the same as the old site and the old URL still works. However stay tuned over the next few months as I overhaul my site and materials. I also held a contest for people to submit suggestions for URLs. I only got two entries to the contest. Congratulations to Trish Christie for suggesting DurhamBellyDance.com. She will receive an Andalee tote bag! Please update your bookmarks!

Recruiting for a Student Troupe

There is still space available in my student belly dance troupe, called the Nightingales. The student troupe only requires that you have completed one session of beginner belly dance with me. We will work on a group choreography, which we may perform at the Ninth Street Dance Instructor Showcase in August, and there may be other community performance opportunities. Rehearsals will be like a regular class, so there is a fee of $12 per class. Classes will be held on Wednesdays and they will be at the Five Oaks Recreation Club in Southwest Durham. There are no auditions. Please send me an e-mail if you are interested. Start date is to be determined.
